Although not strictly part of Bracknell, Binfield village
is getting ever closer to being swallowed up. Surrounded on at
least three sides by rolling countryside, the village retains
much of its rural character. |
The Royal Standard overlooks what would probably be called
the village centre, if such a thing could be defined. |
The relatively new shopping centre and library are set
slightly back from the main street, but nevertheless fit tastefully
into the style of the village. |
Binfield Place sits tucked away at the edge of the village,
on the road towards Wokingham. Binfield Place is one of a number
of large old properties in Binfield. Binfield House was converted
to an old peoples' home in 1974 and Binfield Hall is now part
of Newbold College. |
The modern residential areas of Binfield are just off the
main road, and are centred around Benetfield Road. |
The design of the modern estate is tastefully in keeping
with the rest of the village. |
