Davenport Road is typical of many of the residential streets
in Bullbrook. |
Lily Hill Road starts at Bullbrook Row, and runs round
two sides of the neighbourhood. |
Lily Hill Road continues along the southern side of Bullbrook. |
On this side of Bullbrook is Lily Hill Park, a small nature
reserve, managed by Bracknell Forest Borough Countryside Service,
between Lily Hill Road and the A329 London Road to Ascot. |
In Lily Hill Park stands Lily Hill House, still overlooking
its former estate land. The 1882 map shows Lily Hill House standing
in a large forested park, overlooking its lawns.
Lily Hill House has for many years now been used as offices. |
The Running Horse public house stands at the bottom
of Lily Hill Road, on the roundabout to which it has lent its
name.
The Royal Oak public house shown on the 1882 map is still
standing, now on the busy A329, just west of here. |
