The neighbourhood of Great Hollands sits in a dip on the
western side of Bracknell. Parts of Great Hollands still have
a reputation as being among the rougher areas of Bracknell, despite
improving in recent years. |
The houses in Great Hollands are mostly of a standard design,
and are often densely packed. |
Many of the squares in which the houses are arranged are divided
in two by a pair of wooden clad bridge flats. |
The playing fields in the centre of Great Hollands provide
a contrasting break from the concrete of the housing. |
This square in Wroxham is typical of a large part of Great
Hollands. |
Garages are provided for all of the houses, often in large
unsightly blocks, although many former council houses were sold
off without their garages. |
