Priestwood was one of the first neighbourhoods to be developed
as Bracknell New Town grew. This probably accounts for the wide
streets and pleasant environment. |

The Admiral Cunningham is located centrally in Priestwood,
not far from Priestwood Square. Although the building must have
been standing, it is not marked on the 1882 map. |
Moordale Avenue leads through this part of Priestwood, towards
the Binfield Road. |
The park on Jock's Lane was formerly on the edge of Bracknell,
but recent development has seen the boundaries of the town extended.
The park has tennis courts, a pavilion and a miniature steam
railway. |
The Binfield Road leads towards the town centre, where
the 3M tower is almost always visible. |
The junction of Downshire Way and Binfield Road shows a
contrast between the very modern development and the cottages
of Old Bracknell. Between the two lies a cemetry which has so
far remained undisturbed. |
